Jerry Moison began his full time career in commercial real estate with Frank Howard Allen in 1978. In 1980 he went to work for Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CB Commercial) and stayed with them until 1988. Jerry began his eight year tenure with Coldwell Banker as "Rookie of the Year", was a "Top 5" producer for three years and a "Top 10" producer each year he sold real estate there.

Jerry left Coldwell Banker in 1988 to join his twin brother Bill at Moison Investment Company (MIC). MIC is owned and managed by both Jerry and Bill. Together, they have more than 40 years of commercial real estate ownership, management and brokerage experience. They both also co-founded "The Muirfield Company", a property management company specializing exclusively in apartments in the San Francisco Bay Area. They currently manage over 1,000 units.

Jerry is actively involved in issues affecting owners of apartment properties through his membership in the California Housing Council and particularly the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) in Washington, D.C. Jerry is on the National Tax Committee for the NMHC. These organizations are their respective leaders on a statewide and national level, advocating the concerns of apartment investors on issues and laws affecting apartment ownership.

Jerry also publishes the Moison Investment Newsletter, an informative quarterly newsletter that is distributed as a service to all apartment owners in the Northern California market.
